Our programmes and how to apply

Torrance Award

Education and Coaching for Golf

Golf for Everyone

We award bursaries to junior golfers who have been selected by Scottish Golf for the national team or squad. The bursaries are to meet subsistence and travel costs for participation on tournaments and events.

We award one bursary a year to a junior golfer who wishes to study at a University or College to further their golf performance or pursue a career in golf.

We offer support to clubs and individuals to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play golf in Scotland.

We will award bursaries or grants to individuals and clubs to enable anyone to enjoy golf in Scotland. This could include grants for disabled golfers to purchase OpenPlay membership, or to meet subsistence needs and travel costs for participation in G4D and EDGA tournaments.

Other funds

Unleash Your Drive Transport Fund

Unleash Your Drive is a schools programme delivered in partnership with The Golf Foundation. The Trust offers schools the opportunity to apply for funding to aid the transition of school aged children from golf in the community or school setting, into their local club.

Scottish Golf Disability Bursary

The Trust is delighted to be able to award a subsistence fund for golfers with a disability competing in the Scottish Open for Golfers with a Disability. The costs of travel and accommodation can be elevated for people with a disability, and this fund supports those requirements, enabling more golfers to access tournaments across Scotland.

Roving Pro

Providing access to professional coaching

In partnership with Scottish Golf, we provide match funding to golf clubs in specific locations, to enable them to participate in the Roving Pro initiative.

This funding is utilised for rural and island clubs that fall within HS, KW and ZE postcodes to support the increased costs of coaching. There are 18 golf clubs in these postcodes that are eligible to apply.

If you would like to be considered, please contact the Scottish Golf Participation Team on juniorgolf@scottishgolf.org
